A hit-and-run incident with no reported injuries was reported at about 3:21 p.m. Sept. 11 near a Safeway on East Castro Valley Boulevard in Castro Valley, California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a hit-and-run without injuries.
The initial dispatch placed the incident at the Safeway property and assigned it to the CHP’s Hayward area. The available report did not indicate that anyone required medical attention.
A CHP update at about 3:42 p.m. indicated that a unit was responding to the incident. The dispatch did not identify the vehicle involved, the other party in the hit-and-run, or the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The report also did not document any lane closures, blocked roadway, vehicle damage details, or arrests. No additional information about the suspect vehicle or the direction of travel was included in the available CHP dispatch.
