A hit-and-run collision was reported Wednesday afternoon on westbound State Route 91 east of East Street in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision involving no reported injuries and logged it at about 4:03 p.m. on September 9, 2026.
The dispatch location was identified as the westbound freeway eastbound-of-reference area near the East Street exit. CHP did not provide information about the vehicles involved or describe how the collision occurred.
By about 4:59 p.m., two freeway service patrol trucks had been sent to the scene. One patrol truck was waved off while the other continued handling the disabled vehicle.
The vehicle was later towed from the freeway to the Raymond and Orangefair area. CHP’s dispatch information did not identify the driver who left the scene or provide additional details about the hit-and-run.
