Hesperia, CA (November 20, 2025) – On Tuesday afternoon, a fatal head-on crash took place on Summit Valley Road close to Cataba Road when a white SUV allegedly led another vehicle to swerve into incoming traffic. The accident was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. A fatal accident occurred, leaving one individual deceased and others traumatized, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The scene was responded to by emergency teams from both the CHP and San Bernardino County Fire, who discovered two vehicles with significant front-end damage. An initial inquiry uncovered that a more mature white Sports Utility Vehicle intruded into the trajectory of a black Sports Utility Vehicle along Summit Valley Road, compelling the black SUV’s pilot to swerve and forfeit control. The black SUV veered into conflicting lanes and collided frontally with a dim gray sedan. The impact’s force resulted in considerable damage to both cars. The Coroner’s Office of San Bernardino County reached the location prior to 5:00 p.m. and confirmed at least one death. The identity of the person who died has not been made public yet. The white SUV connected to the incident drove away from the location and was last observed traveling west on Highway 138 from Summit Valley Road.
