Hermosa Beach, CA (January 14, 2026) – A man on an e-bike suffered serious injuries Monday evening when hit by a vehicle on the Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach. The crash took place at approximately 7:00 p.m. According to the Hermosa Beach Police Department, the incident occurred on January 12 in the 1800 block of PCH. Investigators found that the driver had swerved into the center lane to avoid stopped traffic, resulting in a collision with the cyclist. The collision left the e-bike rider seriously injured. Emergency medical personnel arrived promptly, and the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he is still in serious condition. The vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated completely with investigators. No citations or arrests have been reported as of now. The Hermosa Beach Police Department is still investigating the incident to see if other factors played a role in the crash.
