Fresno, CA (September 28, 2025) – A severe head-on crash occurred Saturday morning in Fresno, resulting in two people suffering serious injuries and prompting a major emergency response. The accident took place at approximately 9:00 a.m. At the junction of Shaw Avenue and Floyd Avenue, a Toyota Tacoma and a Dodge Dart were involved in a collision, as reported by the California Highway Patrol, although the specific details surrounding the incident are not yet known. The collision resulted in both drivers being stuck in their cars, necessitating the use of specialized extraction methods. Firefighters from the North Central Fire Department responded promptly and employed the Jaws of Life to extract the victims from the debris. Both individuals suffered significant injuries and were taken to a local hospital for immediate medical care. Authorities have not provided any new information regarding their present status. The accident resulted in considerable disturbances along Shaw Ave, an important east-west route in northwest Fresno. Traffic was redirected while emergency responders handled the situation, aided the victims, and started the investigation. The California Highway Patrol is still looking into the reason behind the accident. It is still uncertain if the factors of speed, distraction, or road conditions contributed to the incident.
