Fresno, CA (January 13, 2026) – Emergency responders attended a hit-and-run accident with injuries on January 12 close to the N Fresno St and E Shields Ave intersection. The incident was reported at approximately 6:08 p.m. It involved at least two vehicles, one being a white Genesis tied to a prior reckless driving incident. Dispatch records indicate the suspect vehicle fled, as the reporting party stayed in the vicinity in a silver 2024 Toyota Tacoma to share information with officers. A second vehicle, a white 2022 Toyota Highlander, was reportedly carrying the injured individual. Paramedics were sent to the scene and authorized for medical assistance. During the call, the victim’s condition was not revealed, and it was still unknown if anyone needed to be taken to the hospital. Officers were instructed to gather statements if anyone was transported from the scene. Police units and central responders arrived shortly after the call, and an investigation is ongoing to find the driver who fled.
