Fairfield, CA (November 3, 2025) – A vehicle struck a pedestrian on Friday night in Fairfield, leaving the individual in critical condition. The event took place at approximately 10:14 p.m. Near the intersection of Sunset Avenue and East Travis Boulevard, law enforcement reported an incident. First responders discovered a person suffering from severe injuries, who had been struck while traversing the vicinity. The individual on foot received prompt medical care and was taken to a close-by medical facility in a life-threatening state. Authorities later recognized the driver of the vehicle in question as 57-year-old Monte Parker. He was detained at the location on suspicion of DUI. The specific details of how the accident happened have not been fully revealed. Investigators stayed at the location on Friday night to gather evidence and talk to possible witnesses. The identity of the injured pedestrian has not been disclosed, and their present state is still undisclosed.
