(Glendale, CA) Early Saturday, a woman died and another individual was hurt in a crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway near Lowell Avenue. CHP officers arrived around 1:43 a.m. and discovered several vehicles involved, including a Nissan Pathfinder lying on its side. One occupant was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner subsequently identified her as 43-year-old Erika De La Riva. ABC7 reports that paramedics took one other person to a hospital in critical condition. A SigAlert was issued at 1:42 a.m. , which closed all westbound lanes at Lowell Avenue for several hours. The lanes were reopened at 6:46 a.m. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
