Devore, CA (December 15, 2025) – A crash between two semitrailers on the 15 Freeway in Devore sparked a fiery wreck and a brush fire Saturday afternoon, injuring at least one person and causing significant traffic backups. The incident took place just before 12:30 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the northbound side of the freeway near Kenwood Ave. Both trucks burst into flames after the collision, with one big rig overturning and the fire spreading to a nearby utility pole and surrounding brush. Extreme heat and arid conditions fueled a rapidly spreading wildfire that scorched about 5 acres. Nearby buildings were temporarily at risk until firefighters managed to contain the blaze. Cal Fire and San Bernardino County Fire Department crews arrived promptly to fight the fire and aid the injured. V 1:32 odpoledne. Cal Fire officials announced that the fire’s forward progress had been successfully stopped. CHP issued a SigAlert and shut down sections of northbound I-15 while emergency teams worked to put out the flames, remove debris, and secure the area. The cause of the crash is still being investigated, with no details released yet on contributing factors.
