Cajon Pass, CA (November 21, 225) – Early Thursday morning, a significant multi-vehicle accident took place on the southbound side of Interstate 15 near mile marker 34 in the Cajon Pass region, involving a semi-truck, a cargo van, and a small white sedan. The California Highway Patrol stated that the accident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. Early reports suggested that a box truck struck the white sedan from behind, resulting in a chain-reaction collision with at least three vehicles involved. Due to the collision, several lanes, specifically the #2, #3, and #4 lanes, were blocked, leading to considerable disruption in southbound traffic. An individual from the crash indicated potential injuries, which resulted in the dispatching of emergency medical services. CHP changed the incident status from unknown injuries to confirmed medical aid on the way, showing that at least one person needed help at the location. Officials are still looking into the events that caused the crash and are attempting to remove the vehicles from the road. Traffic delays are anticipated in the area until the scene is completely cleared. We extend our heartfelt wishes to those affected and hope for a swift recovery for anyone injured in this accident.
