Chain-reaction crashes involving multiple vehicles can happen abruptly on crowded highways, particularly at night or in heavy traffic. High speeds, poor visibility, and short reaction times can lead to severe damage and serious injuries. Investigators usually examine factors like vehicle speed, road conditions, driver behavior, and potential mechanical problems when identifying the cause of highway crashes. Drivers are urged to keep safe following distances and stay vigilant for abrupt traffic shifts to minimize the chance of multi-vehicle crashes.
