In Bonsall, CA, a pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run incident on Interstate 15 early Thursday morning, according to officials. The accident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, this occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 close to Old Highway 395. Authorities reported that a car hit a man and then left the scene. Investigators suspect that the vehicle in question could be a Mazda, which likely sustained damage to its front and undercarriage. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed by officials, as they are waiting to inform the family. Officers from the CHP are looking for the driver involved in the incident and are requesting that anyone with relevant information reach out to Public Affairs Officer Hunter Gerber at 760-643-3400.
