A man aged 8833 years died on the night of November 14, when he was hit by a car at a crossing against the traffic signal in the Midway District of San Diego, CA, as reported by the San Diego Police Department. The accident occurred at approximately 11:11 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock Street and Camino Del Rio West. Authorities reported that the man crossed the intersection heading east while ignoring a “don’t walk” signal. As he was crossing, a vehicle heading north, operated by a 55-year-old female, collided with the individual on foot. The person behind the wheel, who had a green traffic signal, came to an abrupt halt and worked with law enforcement. The man was taken to a hospital by paramedics, where he was declared dead. SDPD Officer David O’Brien stated that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
