On Sunday afternoon, a traffic collision that led to injuries occurred in Concord, CA, causing lane closures and traffic delays on CA-4. The accident happened around 2:34 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, on the eastbound side of CA-4, just east of the CA-242 southbound interchange, emergency responders, including CHP and medical staff, swiftly arrived at the scene to help the injured in the accident. An individual was injured and received medical attention from paramedics at the scene. Information about the extent of the injuries or the number of people involved has not been disclosed yet. As a result of the accident, at least one lane of CA-4 East was closed, causing considerable traffic delays while officials handled the situation and attempted to resume normal traffic flow. Tow crews were called to help remove damaged vehicles from the road. An investigation is in progress to find out what caused the accident. As of Sunday evening, officials have not verified any citations or arrests. Our thoughts are with the individuals injured in this accident, and we wish for a complete recovery for everyone affected.
