San Diego, CA (October 23, 2025) – Early Wednesday morning, emergency responders attended to a two-car accident resulting in injuries that occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 805 close to 8th St and L St. The accident took place just before 8:00 a.m. This incident quickly drew a reaction from San Diego Fire and Rescue as well as nearby emergency medical services. Officials noted that the collision involved two cars and occurred on a segment of I-805 that is notorious for its dense morning traffic. Emergency responders and firefighters provided aid to individuals injured in the crash. Although there were no confirmed deaths, multiple people suffered different types of injuries, as reported by scanner traffic from the California Highway Patrol. The extent of the injuries has not been revealed to the public. The accident caused notable disruptions in traffic, as lanes were closed for a time while emergency personnel attended to the wounded and examined the site. Emergency personnel stayed at the location for a prolonged time to evaluate the damage, administer medical assistance, and control traffic in the vicinity of the affected area. The reason for the accident is still being looked into. Authorities have not disclosed any details regarding the factors involved or if any citations were given.
