The accident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the crossing of Dayton Street and El Cajon Boulevard. Authorities reported that a Tesla Model Y traveling east turned left in front of a Honda Civic heading west. The collision occurred at the intersection, resulting in significant injuries for the Honda driver, who suffered a broken left femur and a lacerated liver. Upon the arrival of paramedics, they took the injured driver to a nearby hospital for care. Law enforcement officials stated that they did not consider impairment to be a contributing factor in the accident.
