Los Angeles, CA (October 11, 2025) – On Friday afternoon, a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles, which resulted in injuries, occurred on the southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway close to Temple St and Figueroa St in Downtown Los Angeles. The accident happened at approximately 3:13 in the afternoon. The incident involved a minimum of three vehicles, and a fourth vehicle was later found and towed near the intersection of Temple and Figueroa. According to audio from dispatch by the Los Angeles City Fire Department, emergency responders arrived at the location and provided medical treatment to several people who were injured. Emergency services requested two ambulances, and fire crews verified that multiple patients required prolonged medical care. The exact number of injured parties has not been disclosed yet, however, emergency responders indicated that several individuals were involved. The accident took place shortly before the junction with the 110 Freeway, leading to considerable traffic delays on a busy commuter route. Emergency responders temporarily closed some lanes to assist those injured and to remove debris from the freeway. A fourth vehicle, suspected to be part of the accident, was removed from a nearby street. Officials are looking into the incident to find out what led to the crash. Factors like traffic congestion, abrupt stopping, and unsafe lane shifts are under examination in the current review.
