Patterson, CA (September 30, 2025) – Early Monday morning, a bicyclist lost their life in a tragic accident involving a vehicle on State Route 33 at East Marshall Road, located near the border of Patterson and Crows Landing. The accident was reported at approximately 4:38 a.m. As reported by the California Highway Patrol, officials indicated that a cyclist struck a vehicle in the northbound lanes of SR-33, with the cause of the incident still being examined. The collision caused the road to be obstructed while emergency responders were dispatched to the location. Unfortunately, despite their attempts to assist, the cyclist was declared dead at the site. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed while efforts are made to inform the family. Both the bicycle and the vehicle involved have been towed as part of the ongoing inquiry. The CHP is actively collecting information to understand what led to the deadly accident. We send our heartfelt sympathies to the cyclist’s family and friends during this extremely tough period.
