Modesto, CA (September 26, 2025) – On Thursday morning, a car crash in the Safeway parking lot close to McHenry Ave resulted in one individual sustaining injuries. The event took place just after 10:00 a.m. At least one person in the vehicle needed medical assistance. Emergency services, including Modesto Police, Stanislaus County Sheriff, and local firefighters, were dispatched to the location after receiving reports of the accident. Emergency medical responders assessed an injured person at the location, but there were no reports of injuries to others involved in the incident. The accident took place close to the intersection of McHenry Avenue and Tenaya Drive, which is a bustling commercial zone that frequently experiences heavy traffic. Authorities have not yet determined the reason for the accident, and it is uncertain if the incident involved cars coming into or leaving the parking area. Emergency responders stayed at the location briefly to help those hurt and to secure the vicinity for patrons and motorists. We hope for a speedy and complete recovery for the injured person.
