A hit-and-run collision was reported Oct. 3 on El Toro Road near Ellie Way in the Riverside California Highway Patrol area. The incident was logged at 2:34 p.m. on the southbound side, just south of the intersection.
CHP classified the incident as a hit-and-run collision with no reported injuries. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or provide a description of the vehicle that left the scene.
A follow-up update at 2:38 p.m. stated that the vehicle remaining at the scene was not driveable. That status meant the vehicle could not leave under its own power and would require additional handling.
The update also indicated that the reporting party would be transferred to another channel identified in the dispatch. No further details about the other vehicle, the circumstances of the hit-and-run or the vehicle’s recovery were provided.
