A four-vehicle hit-and-run collision was reported Sept. 10 on southbound Highway 1 near Mar Monte in the Santa Cruz area. The incident was initially logged at 2:51 p.m., and CHP reported no injuries.
The collision location was described as southbound Highway 1 just north of Mar Monte. CHP identified two vehicles in the dispatch information: a white Ford Explorer and a Toyota or similar vehicle towing a dump trailer.
The dispatch classified the incident as a hit-and-run involving four vehicles. The available information did not identify the driver who reportedly left the scene or provide additional details about the other vehicles.
A CHP update issued at 3:22 p.m. repeated the vehicle and hit-and-run information. The dispatch did not report injuries, lane closures, arrests, citations or a cause for the collision.
