A traffic collision was reported at about 3:20 p.m. Sept. 6 on northbound Interstate 605 near State Route 60 in the East Los Angeles CHP area. The dispatch classified the incident as a collision with an ambulance en route.
The reported location was at the northbound I-605 and northbound State Route 60 interchange. CHP dispatch information identified westbound State Route 60 to northbound I-605 as the best access route to the scene.
At 3:45 p.m., the traffic management center copied a SigAlert related to the collision and notified media outlets. The dispatch information did not specify the number of vehicles involved or provide details about any injuries.
No additional information about lane closures, vehicle descriptions, or the circumstances of the collision was included in the CHP dispatch update. The incident remained associated with the East Los Angeles CHP area.
