A hit-and-run collision with no reported injuries was recorded at about 7:02 p.m. Aug. 25 near eastbound State Route 91 and McKinley Street in the Riverside area of California. The dispatch identified the location as the eastbound roadway near McKinley Street.
The California Highway Patrol initially classified the incident as involving suspected driving under the influence. That classification was changed at 7:12 p.m. to a hit-and-run collision under the state vehicle code, with no injuries reported.
The later CHP update established the incident as a hit-and-run rather than a DUI-related collision. The dispatch information did not identify a suspect vehicle or provide details about the circumstances of the collision.
CHP records for the incident did not document lane closures, emergency medical transport, vehicle descriptions or towing activity. The available dispatch entry contained no additional reported injuries or later roadway impacts.
