Hesperia, CA (January 27, 2026) – Early Sunday morning, a woman pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries when hit by a car on Main Street near Oakwood Avenue in Hesperia. The crash happened around 2:47 a.m. On January 25, local police and medical personnel responded to an emergency. The Hesperia Police Department stated that the initial investigation showed the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Main Street, just east of Maple Avenue, when the woman abruptly ran northbound across the road. The driver couldn’t brake in time, striking the pedestrian. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene to provide life-saving assistance. The woman, in critical condition, was taken to a nearby hospital. Her identity has not been disclosed by authorities, and no updates on her condition are available at this time. Police stayed on the scene for several hours to probe the crash details and direct local traffic. As of this report, no arrests have occurred, and the involved driver faces no charges. The Hesperia Police Department continues investigating the cause of the collision. Officials have not excluded any possible contributing factors and are requesting more details from witnesses or anyone who might have been in the vicinity at the time.
