On Monday afternoon, November 24, at approximately 2:48 p.m., a collision between three vehicles in an unincorporated area close to Blythe, California resulted in nine individuals sustaining injuries. The event took place on 143rd Avenue and was reported by the Riverside County Fire Department. at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Neighbours Boulevard. Emergency responders arrived to discover several individuals trapped. They asked for three medical helicopters and five ambulances to help at the location. Authorities mentioned that one individual needed to be freed from the debris before being transported to a nearby trauma center. Other individuals involved in the incident were taken to nearby medical facilities with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The California Highway Patrol shut down State Route 78 in each direction at 14th Avenue for a short period of time. During this closure, officers looked into the reason for the collision.
