Westminster, CA (March 18, 2026) – One person died and another was injured following a house fire that erupted on Tuesday evening, March 17, in Westminster. Emergency responders were dispatched to a residence on Apache Road near Garden Grove Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m. Upon the crews’ arrival, flames were shooting out of the windows, with thick smoke hanging in the air. The blaze rapidly engulfed the building. An elderly woman managed to flee the house before firefighters arrived. She was transported to a hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation. During the house search, responders later found a second person inside who had died on site. The identity of the deceased has not been released yet. The origin of the fire remains undetermined at present. Officials are still probing the incident’s cause, with additional information to be shared as it emerges.
