A traffic collision was reported at about 3:38 p.m. Oct. 22 on westbound Interstate 8 just east of Pine Valley Road in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The crash location was on the westbound side of I-8 near the Pine Valley Road area. The dispatch information did not provide vehicle descriptions or the number of vehicles involved.
At approximately 3:55 p.m., CHP dispatch noted that a fire agency in San Diego County had been notified about the collision. The available information did not indicate whether emergency crews had reached the scene.
CHP did not report lane closures, blocked lanes, overturned vehicles or a request for towing in the available dispatch update. The incident remained documented as an injury-status-unknown collision.
