A no-injury traffic collision was reported at about 3:35 p.m. Aug. 20 on W. 9th Street near Devore and Kenwood. The incident was handled by the California Highway Patrol’s San Bernardino area.
The person involved told dispatchers that it was unclear what the vehicle struck in the roadway. No injuries were reported in the initial CHP incident classification.
The vehicle or person involved left the collision scene before the later dispatch update. By about 3:43 p.m., the involved party was reported to be at a school district office at the listed location.
CHP dispatch information did not identify the object involved in the collision or provide a description of the vehicle. The available report also did not document any lane closures, emergency medical response or towing activity.
