A two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Rio Linda Boulevard and Elkhorn Boulevard in California at about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
By 3:22 p.m., both vehicles had been moved to the right shoulder of eastbound Elkhorn Boulevard, just east of Rio Linda Boulevard. The dispatch information did not indicate that travel lanes remained blocked.
The collision occurred at the intersection, with the vehicles later positioned on the eastbound side of Elkhorn Boulevard. CHP’s North Sacramento area handled the dispatch.
No injuries were reported in the available CHP update. The log contained no further details about the vehicles or the circumstances leading to the collision.
