(Valencia, CA) Early Thursday morning on December 18, two individuals sustained serious injuries in a northbound 5 Freeway crash near Magic Mountain Parkway involving two semi-trucks and an SUV. CHP officers arrived on scene around 1 a.m. and found that one of the semi-trucks had become detached from its trailer. Officials discovered two individuals trapped in the separate cab, both suffering severe injuries. Firefighters freed both victims and took them to Henry Mayo Hospital. All northbound lanes were temporarily shut down so emergency teams could operate safely. The CHP had the freeway back open by 5:23 a.m. The probe into the causes of the collision continues.
