(Chula Vista, CA) Two men were hurt on Wednesday night, October 30, in a collision on Main Street that might have involved an impaired driver, as reported by the Chula Vista Police Department. Officers arrived at the scene around 7:50 p.m. to the junction of Main Street and La Media Parkway following reports of a crash involving two vehicles. Authorities reported that a white Mercury Sable driving east on Main Street collided with a black Ford Bronco going south on La Media. The driver of the Mercury, 26-year-old Andrew Coronado, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was rushed to a medical facility for the treatment of severe, potentially fatal wounds. A 31-year-old Ford driver sustained minor injuries and worked with investigators, as per authorities. The police mentioned that the crash’s cause is still being investigated. Officials are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the CVPD Traffic Bureau at 619-476-5302.
