When traffic is moving at higher speeds, drivers may not have enough time to stop safely. This can lead to rear-end impacts that involve several vehicles within seconds.. Highways like SR-65 in Tulare County carry both local and through traffic. Differences in speed, spacing, and driver attention can increase the chance of collisions. When one vehicle loses control or stops abruptly, others behind may be unable to avoid contact.. Vehicle damage in these crashes can vary widely depending on impact angles and speed. Even when only one person is reported hurt, the scene may involve multiple damaged vehicles and lane closures that affect traffic flow.
