Hit-and-Run Investigation Follows Reported Reckless Driving in Placerville Neighborhood
The California Highway Patrol received a report of a hit-and-run incident with no reported injuries at about 6:07 p.m. Aug. 11, 2026, near Riesling Way and Mira Loma Drive in Placerville.
According to a CHP dispatch update one minute later, a suspect vehicle was reportedly chasing a victim vehicle through the neighborhood at a high rate of speed. Dispatch characterized the driving as reckless.
The reporting party said the victim vehicle had been stopped at the intersection. CHP provided no vehicle descriptions or additional information about damage.
