On the evening of September 18, 2025, a traffic collision causing injuries occurred in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, CA. The accident happened at approximately 6:38 p.m. On September 17, following the dispatch audio from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Advanced Life Support (ALS) units, which included Squad 45 and Engine J122, were sent to the area near the junction of Cherry Avenue and Cover Street to evaluate and provide care for those injured. The extent of injuries and the total number of people affected remain unverified, although at least one individual needed medical care. Officials have not provided details regarding the number of vehicles involved or what led to the accident. The intersection experienced temporary disruptions as firefighters and emergency medical teams worked to aid the victims and clear the road.
