A three-vehicle collision was reported at 3:48 p.m. Aug. 19 on southbound US 101 near Alvarado Street in California’s Central Los Angeles area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with no reported injuries.
The vehicles were described in the dispatch information as unmoveable, indicating they could not be driven from the scene after the crash. CHP provided the vehicle status in an update at 3:50 p.m., shortly after the initial report.
The collision location was identified as southbound US 101 just north of Alvarado Street. The dispatch did not specify whether any lanes were closed or how traffic was affected.
