Temecula, CA (January 19, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash that injured people and blocked several lanes occurred early Monday morning on southbound Interstate 15 near Rancho California Rd, the California Highway Patrol reported. The incident happened around 4:23 a.m. It involved a black Hyundai sedan and a second unidentified four-door vehicle. CHP records showed one vehicle blocking lane #2 and another obstructing lane #4, leading authorities to halt all lanes temporarily for safe scene management. Emergency responders, including medics, were dispatched to aid an injured CHP officer. The crash was rapidly classified as an injury incident, prompting notification to Rancho Springs Medical Center to accept at least one patient. Tow trucks were sent to clear the vehicles, with Rancho Tow and S & R Towing handling the removal from the scene. Traffic delays persisted until the wreckage was cleared and all lanes were reopened.
