(Long Beach, CA) A teenage boy suffered injuries in a South Street crash on Friday morning, December 19, when a vehicle hit him while crossing the road. Officers arrived on scene at about 7:36 a.m. to the 1600 block of South Street and Walnut Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the teenager with upper-body injuries. Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital, describing his injuries as non-life-threatening. Police report that the boy was crossing in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an adult male. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
