Sylmar, CA (May 19, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision shut down lanes on westbound Interstate 210 near the Osborne Street on-ramp in Sylmar early Tuesday morning. The crash was first reported around 4:34 a.m. The collision rapidly escalated as more vehicles joined the pile-up. A gray Honda Civic hit the right-side barrier while swerving to miss road debris, and a silver Chevrolet Silverado crashed into another car. At least four vehicles ended up being involved, with debris scattered across several lanes and traffic halted in all directions for a short time. Two vehicles were heavily damaged—the Honda suffered major rear-end damage and the Silverado had severe front-end damage—and both had to be towed from the scene. A SigAlert was issued for the first two lanes, lasting around one hour. An air ambulance was sent to the scene, but the number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries remain unconfirmed. The incident is still being investigated by authorities, who will release additional information as it becomes available. Our thoughts are with those affected as they receive medical care.
