On November 17, 2025, in Stockton, California, an accident took place that involved two vehicles and a power pole. This led to at least one person getting injured and created significant dangers on the road. This incident occurred on State Route 4, just east of Jack Tone Road, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The collision happened around 8:59 a.m. and included a gray Toyota sedan and a white Chevrolet Suburban. Authorities stated that the Toyota went off the road, hit a power pole, and ended up about 20 feet into a field with significant damage to its rear. The collision caused live power lines to fall, and a transformer on the damaged pole was affected, creating a serious electrical risk. Vehicles in the vicinity were observed driving over fallen lines before help arrived. PG&E was notified, and a crew was on their way with an expected arrival in 25 minutes. At least one man was seen limping away from the area, indicating he might be injured. Paramedics arrived to evaluate and assist the injured individual in need of transportation. The complete range of injuries has not been verified yet. Both lanes of SR-4 were initially closed while emergency responders and utility workers managed the situation. The matter is still being investigated.
