On September 25, 2025, in Stockton, CA, emergency personnel from Stockton Fire and Rescue were called to the scene on Wednesday afternoon after a crash occurred between a car and a cyclist at the intersection of Metro Dr and Charles Ave. The event took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. A 56-year-old man was left hurt and clearly in distress, as indicated by fire dispatch audio. Firefighters, including the team from Engine 12 District, reached the location soon after the incident was reported. Paramedics assessed the man, who had been injured in the accident. Medical aid was provided at the location of the incident, but information regarding the transfer to a hospital or the severity of the injuries has not been disclosed yet. The accident occurred in a region adjacent to residential areas and minor commercial zones, which typically experiences a blend of vehicle and pedestrian movement in the afternoon. The road was affected to some extent while teams helped the injured cyclist and dealt with the accident site. The Stockton Police Department is anticipated to look into what caused the collision. Details regarding the driver have not been disclosed, and officials have not yet indicated whether any citations or charges will be issued.
