Stanislaus County, CA (February 21, 2026) – A fatal head-on collision on Hwy 4 east of Milton Rd. Friday afternoon claimed one life and injured several others. Officials say the wreck involved at least two vehicles. The crash took place in Stanislaus County on Hwy 4, but authorities have not yet disclosed the precise time. The collision was characterized as head-on and caused one death at the scene. A number of other individuals sustained injuries from minor to severe. Emergency services arrived on scene and provided aid to the collision victims. The names of those involved have not been released to the public yet. Investigators have not disclosed details regarding the events preceding the crash. Highway 4 was shut down as crews carried out their on-site response and investigation.
