A traffic collision was reported at 2:24 p.m. Sept. 24 on southbound State Route 41 just north of the Shields Avenue off-ramp in Fresno, California. The California Highway Patrol listed the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The dispatch information did not identify the vehicle involved by make, model or color. It did indicate that at least one vehicle was unable to start after the collision.
At 3:08 p.m., CHP requested assistance from the Freeway Service Patrol for the disabled vehicle. The available dispatch information did not document whether the vehicle was blocking a lane or on the shoulder.
CHP did not provide additional information about injuries, the circumstances of the collision or any roadway closure. The incident location was identified as the southbound lanes of State Route 41 near the Shields Avenue off-ramp.
