A traffic collision was reported on southbound Interstate 680 near Olympic Boulevard in Contra Costa County shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash location was identified as southbound I-680 near the Olympic Boulevard on-ramp. CHP dispatch information placed the incident just north of Olympic Boulevard.
A subsequent CHP update stated that both involved parties were on the right-hand shoulder. The dispatch did not indicate that either vehicle remained in an active travel lane.
The available CHP information did not report injuries, a lane closure, or a request for medical assistance. The incident was handled within the Contra Costa Freeway Service Patrol area.
