A traffic collision was reported at the southbound Interstate 5 truck-lane connector to northbound State Route 14 on Nov. 5, 2026, at about 1:42 p.m. The incident occurred near the Route 14 connection in the Newhall area of California.
An ambulance was reported en route to the scene. The CHP dispatch information did not specify the number of vehicles involved or provide details about injuries.
The southbound I-5 transition to northbound Route 14 was closed in the truck lanes, according to a CHP update issued at about 2:49 p.m. The closure affected the truck-lane portion of the connector.
The southbound I-5 transition to northbound Route 14 on the main portion of the roadway remained open. CHP did not provide additional information about the circumstances of the collision or the expected duration of the truck-lane closure.
