A traffic collision was reported at about 1:42 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, on southbound Interstate 5 near Garfield Avenue in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash location was listed as the southbound freeway at Garfield Avenue, in the East Los Angeles CHP area. Dispatch information did not provide descriptions of the vehicles involved or indicate that any other roadway users were involved.
CHP’s initial classification indicated that no injuries were reported in connection with the collision. The available dispatch record also did not identify an ambulance, fire response, overturned vehicle or vehicle fire.
At 1:44 p.m., the California Freeway Service Patrol reported that it had closed its incident related to the crash. The dispatch information did not specify a lane closure or provide further details about traffic impacts.
