The location was identified near Victory Boulevard, with the incident noted just south of the roadway. The report was handled within the CHP’s West Valley area.
A later CHP dispatch update, issued at about 3:57 p.m., mentioned a black Mercedes-Benz traveling southbound on Interstate 405 near Sherman Way. The vehicle was described as possibly related to the collision, although the dispatch did not provide additional details about its involvement.
