A traffic collision was reported on southbound Interstate 405 near Getty Center Drive on Aug. 15, 2026, in the West Los Angeles area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash was logged at approximately 1:03 p.m. on the southbound freeway near the Getty Center interchange. CHP dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or provide details about the circumstances of the collision.
A later update at about 1:26 p.m. indicated that the incident had been closed by the freeway service patrol. The dispatch record did not document an ambulance response, fire department activity, lane closures or a towing request.
No additional details about the collision were provided in the CHP information. The report remained limited to the location, time and classification of the incident.
