South El Monte, CA (December 13, 2025) – Emergency responders arrived at the scene of an injury-involved crash in South El Monte early Saturday morning. The crash took place at around 3:15 a.m. PST at the Peck Rd and Pellissier Pl intersection, prompting a response from local police, fire, and EMS. First responders arrived to find at least one person injured in the crash. EMS personnel provided on-site treatment, after which the injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital for additional care. The number of people involved and the severity of their injuries have not been disclosed yet. Local law enforcement is investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities are investigating possible factors like driver fatigue, excessive speed, or impairment—frequent hazards in nighttime crashes. No citations or arrests have been announced yet. The intersection was partially closed while crews worked to aid the injured and clear the damaged vehicles. The area has now reopened to regular traffic.
