Santa Fe Springs, CA (January 27, 2026) – Emergency responders arrived Monday afternoon at a two-car crash on the 605 Freeway near Florence Avenue in Santa Fe Springs, where one individual was hurt and taken to a hospital. The incident took place at approximately 3:32 p.m. , which prompted a response from California Highway Patrol and local medical personnel. Upon arrival, authorities discovered two vehicles involved in the incident in the southbound lanes of the freeway. Paramedics assessed the people at the scene and took one individual to a local hospital for care. The severity of the injuries remains undisclosed, with no deaths reported. Traffic in the vicinity was temporarily disrupted as crews evaluated the scene and removed the vehicles from the road. The cause of the crash is still being investigated, with officials yet to determine if speed, lane changes, or other elements were involved. CHP is ongoing in collecting evidence and statements from those involved. We wish the injured person a speedy and complete recovery and thank the responding personnel for their work in safely securing the scene.
