Santa Clarita, CA (April 12, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident on Friday night, April 10, at the Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road intersection in Santa Clarita. The incident was reported at approximately 8:22 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the location following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a large, dark-colored pickup truck. Early reports indicate the driver fled the scene after the crash, heading west on Magic Mountain Parkway. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and located the man, who was pronounced dead there. The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family has been notified. No description of the driver has been given. Officials are still probing the reason for the accident, with further information to be shared when available. We extend our sympathies to the family and friends of the victim. Why Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crashes Are Especially Dangerous. Crashes with pedestrians where drivers flee frequently result in grave consequences. When a driver flees the scene, it can postpone medical aid for the victim, particularly if the location isn’t immediately crowded. At night, poor visibility affects both drivers and pedestrians.
